F&Q

Here are some answers to questions that we have been getting over the last couple of weeks.

Can I take the ferry over from Anacortes the morning of the race?

Yes.  The Washington State Ferry will leave Anacortes at 6:20 am and will arrive in Friday Harbor at 7:40 am.  We will have bus/transit available to take you to the Fair Grounds, which is our Race Central.  You will have plenty of time to pick-up your number and prepare for the 8:30 am Start Time.

I registered for Race A, but I want to run Race B.  Can I change my registration?

Yes.  Most questions come from marathoners that want to down grade to the half marathon race.  Please let us know of your intentions at least two (2) weeks before the race starts for us to make the change.  We do not give refunds for the price differences.

Can I register the day of the Race?

No.

I live in Friday Harbor, is it best to pick-up my packet the day of the race or on Saturday?

Saturday.  Please pick-up on Saturday.  This will save us a ton of stress in getting all the numbers/shirts out.

Will there be aid stations?

Yes, aid stations are close to every two miles.  Water, Gatorade and snacks for the marathoners will be available.

Will there be Portable Restrooms?

Yes, they will be located at mile 1, 5, 7 and at the corner of Douglas and Bailer Hill Road.

Is the San Juan Island Marathon a Boston Qualifier?

Yes.  Our Marathon Certification Number: WA08052MW.
